Dear People,
I have two things, both subjects go hand in hand.
Firstly, I was called in to test for a position with a major company and this is what I saw.....
Not very appealing. They wanted me to be cell phone free which is not a good idea for someone who is traveling from town to a rural area via public transportation and walking many miles, where no one can hear you scream. They didn't let me in.
It's ok. Next subject...
I have had a few discussions with random strangers concerning work place behavior and, well as a wiseman once said "pain is relative".
We talked about individuals who take power positions of any size and use them to "let off steam".
Which creates what another wiseman calls a "harsh work environment" where ones phycological being is damaged effecting their physical health unto distruction.
I will never understand the need for the screaming, public humiliation, manipulation, bullying, kidnappings and sometimes murders (quiet as kept) that happen to be a must for some places to function.
I wish I could give a lecture on how to use the power of influence to create personal and work place success, where all is calm and we treat each other with respect and dignity, but unfortunately I have only seen in most cases the raw side of a donkeys ass. And they showed it to me. So I know that they have one.
If I could have the key, I'd open it's lock and be happy to change the productive lives of anyone stuck in an unproductive and chaotic environment. My only experience is to try, and, we put the try in writing. Only to be silenced and later years down the road have exactly what you said and wrote being reproduced as someone else's idea and implemented in some way. Not everything I do is for the recognition. It's for change. I suppose my peers and supervisors we're insulted that I said anything which is why I had no backing. But in order to win, sometimes you must first loose....
Sometimes it takes a while for a forest fire to burn down all 20,000 achres of bull hookey. It take several years for a new forest to grow.
We'll that's all for now!
Sincerely,
Limmie
